About the Panchayat
The Village Panchayat of Carmona is situated in the SalceteTaluka of South Goa District. It is located 13 KM towards South from District head quartersMargao. The Panchayat consists of 7 wards and has 07 elected representatives. (Male 04, Female 03).
Carmona has a high School managed by the Diosecan Society of Education namely Sacred Heart of Jesus High School. There is also an Anganwadi . There is one Rural Medical Dispensary under Chinchinim PHC with permanent doctor and a pharmacist . There is a post Office and the Pincode of Carmona is 403717.
Carmona village is located along the road in parallel to the 26 km beach of South Goa. The Carmona village is close to Sal River on the eastern side. There are quite a few ponds also.
